Princesses for Pets
Pet Food Drive
We chose to support the People for People Meals on Wheels program and their Seniors with collecting pet food and pet supplies for the senior recipients of the Meals on Wheels that People for People provide. Pets are great companions and often the best and, or only companions some seniors have. The girls held 4 public events in a 6 week span and collected a trailer load of pet fool along with $1200 in cash donations and then went shopping for MORE pet food! They loved getting to make the donations to People for People in person on October 23, 2025 and we even made the news on KIMA!

The SABBY Project
Sparkles Against Bully Behavior in Yakima
The girls are on a mission to spread kindness, antibullying messages and to make the longest paper chain in Yakima, in support of antibullying. This is their way of uniting Yakima County together, against a cause that is currently causing great harm in our community. Divided we fall, but united we stand--and TOGETHER, IN KINDNESS, WE CAN
MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Special Police and Responder Kards

The girls collected over 1130 Thank You cards from community members to give to 9 different local First Responder agencies. In addition, $ that had been colleced was donated the the K9 Foundation of Yakima to support our Yakima Sherrif and Yakima Police K9 First Responders. Donations of Bottled Water, Gatorade and Protein Bars were also donated for Firefighters.
While we've had other community service projects in the past, this was our biggest project to date.

Little Free Library Book Drive
In Partnership with Miss Evergreen Katie Stuart
The girls chose to work with the then Miss Evergreen and former Miss Yakima Teen, Katie Stuart, in her Community Service Initiative with the Little Free Library Project. We joined in and collected new and gently used books for readers of all ages. We assembled a list of all the Little Free Library locations in the local Yakima area. PS, there are A LOT! After they were all collected, we then set out, during the winter months and filled as many of the Little Free Libraries we could. It was a lot of fun and we are so happy that Miss Katie Stuart helped us discover this wonderfully amazing little treasure. (Wanna know a secret? I now see these Little Free Libraries everywhere! :-)

YWCA-Christmas Cards for Kids
(by Kids)

Just starting out on the Community Service journey and we started small, not knowing where or how to start--especially with youngsters. We chose to have kids helping kids. Our kiddos made handmade Christmas Cards to give to the kids who were spending Christmas with their families at the YWCA DV shelter. We hoped it might bring them a smile. In addition, our moms assembled bath and beauty care packages for the moms at the DV shelter. We also gathered up food and clothing items and delivered those to help the young teens who were seeking winter housing shelter at Rod's House. (which at the time was temporary winter housing for teens).
